Beautiful face in 1-2-3

Please excuse the overall look in these pictures. I decided to do this last minute :)

I am going to show you a simple & easy summer look that doesn't take much time at all! Also, all of the products I am going to use are "store brand" products...you CAN achieve a beautiful look without spending a ton on makeup products!

Products Used:
*Physicians Formula Mineral Correcting Powder
*Physicians Formula Mineral Loose Powder
*Physicians Formula Bronzer
*Jemma Kidd Blush

BEFORE

AFTER
Apply concealer over entire face, making sure to cover any dark spots & blemishes. Apply powder to entire face. Using your bronzer, apply (a little at a time) right under your cheek bone, under lower lip, neck & forehead. Last, apply blush.

Makeup Geek
She shows how to contour using cream or powder products

This one is a bit long, so start around the 3min mark. She also has a cool tip on how to get rid of some of the powder-look (if your face starts to look too powdery).

Before now, I hardly contoured my clients because for one, I never really knew how to, but also, I always thought it was hard. After watching these tutorials, I'm going to start contouring ALL of my clients!! I think their pictures will come out soo much nicer too!

Tools of the Trade:

1. Urban Decay Blush Brush - $32

2. MAC 168 Large Angled Contour Brush - $34

3. Sephora Pro Natural Fan Brush - $27

Birthday Time!

Oh my, its been awhile since I did these makeovers, but still need to post! :)  I did makeup for about 15 girls at a Birthday party! It was FUN, but definitely tiring! I used the airbrush makeup on all of them, then applied blush, eye liner, mascara and eye shadow (anywhere from neutral to smokey eyes).

Beauty 2012

This one is long & just goes through the process of getting ready, but I really love the blonde hair girls makeup!!!

Something I just saw (from the second video), are Profile Facial Shields! I've never seen these before!! Makes total sense though, so the person getting their hair done won't get a face full of hairspray!

Makeup Trends 2012

Beauty Trend 2012: METALLIC
Winter/Spring

As seen on the fashion runways almost all over, metallic eye shadows are the in thing for this winter/spring. Some designers chose HEAVY metallic, while others went for a SHIMMER metallic. For everyday day wear, I'd suggest keeping the metallic to a nice soft shimmery shade. If you want to do a more dramatic look, keep it for evenings or dates.

As seen in Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Rodarte, John Galliano & more...

Beauty Trend 2012: Pretty Perfect
Spring/Summer

This trend seems to be my friend recently :) I LOVE the more simple natural look! The idea behind it is to look natural & youthful. Curled lashes, candy-coloured lips and flushed cheeks - girlish prettiness is in for spring*

As seen in Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci, Valentino, Jil Sanders & more...

This little guy doubles for both your lips AND cheeks! A creamy consistency allows you to blend color onto your cheeks to apply more or less for a more dramatic color; or apply to the lips for a soft color.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer
I LOVE this product! I use it on all my clients & it allows their foundation to last all-day! A little tip...go to Sephora and become a "beauty insider". This is their reward points program, and for everything you purchase you get a set amount of points, and once you build up points, you can get FREE sample products! I've honestly NEVER purchased this face primer, because I've received it FREE about three times now! PLUS, this stuff lasts FOREVER! If it lasts that long for me using it on a lot of ladies, you should be able to get quite a bit use out of just the sample size!

Top Skin Care Products

My oh-so-lovely husband bought me a facial/peel off groupon a month or so ago & I finally used them! Since high school I've been not so in love with my skin...since I still get acne from time to time. Like many women I too have a hard time finding products & sticking with a routine of cleanser, toner, moisturizer, eye cream, sun block, mask etc etc I tend to just stick with cleanse and moisturize  :)  So, after my facial & peel experience, I've decided I need to take better care of my skin! I've been doing some research on what products are good - here are my findings:

Go au naturel
There are more skin-care products claiming to be "natural" or "organic" than there are reality-TV stars.
If environmental and purity standards are important to you, consider buying products made in Europe. Companies overseas making eco claims trace ingredients back to their sources to verify their natural origins.
A few of the brands that do: Lavera (lavera.com), Weleda(usa.weleda.com), and Dr. Hauschka Skincare(drhauschka.com). And while you're at it: On products from the U.S., look for the National Products Association's new Natural Seal; it certifies that 95 percent of the ingredients are truly natural and pose no suspected human health risks (for more information, visitnaturalproductsassoc.org/certifiednatural).
Use an anti-ager--now!
Don't wait for the first crow's feet to appear before you reach for that little tube. "Even women in their twenties should be using a topical retinoid--unless they're pregnant or nursing," says Francesca Fusco, M.D., assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
Here's why: Retinoids, which contain vitamin A, are one of the most potent agents for preventing and reversing sun damage and signs of aging. And, says Hirsch, "they're the ultimate multitasker. They speed skin renewal by shedding dull, pore-clogging cells and increase collagen production to prevent wrinkles."
Ask your doctor about a retinoid prescription or try an OTC, such as Roc Retinol Actif Pur Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizing Treatment--Night ($22 for 1 oz, drugstore.com).
Rise, but don't shine
Hormonal surges during sleep cause your sebaceous glands to pump oil--and about 14 hours later, you end up shinier than the Harry Winston showroom. Those cursed with oily skin and breakouts can fight acne and grease slicks before they strike with an overnight treatment.
One of our favorites is Vichy Normaderm Night ($20 for 1.7 oz, vichyusa.com).
