Final Update on Jewelry Box Refurbishing
FINALLY got some knobs & handles for my jewelry box!! I LOVE how it turned out! Such an accomplishment for myself :)
Birthday Time!
Oh my, its been awhile since I did these makeovers, but still need to post! :) I did makeup for about 15 girls at a Birthday party! It was FUN, but definitely tiring! I used the airbrush makeup on all of them, then applied blush, eye liner, mascara and eye shadow (anywhere from neutral to smokey eyes).
Tuesday's Trash to Treasure: Spring Wreath
Spring Wreath Tutorial
Reuse: Fabric, yarn etc...
Materials
*Yarn (2 or more colors)
*Fabric
*Hot glue gun
*Foam or "straw" wreath

_Start by wrapping the wreath with your first color of yarn. Make sure for this layer you get the yarn pretty flat & close to each other. You are wanting to cover what's underneath.
_Decide how you want your wreath to look with what colors. I just did one accent color to the bottom right, so I wrapped that on top of the turquoise (a few layers).
_Next, go back over the turquoise (main color) area with more yarn to cover any exposed areas. This doesn't have to be perfect - its what give this project its fun look.
_To add fun little flowers or rosettes, you can follow this tutorial. I made several larger rosettes & a few smaller ones. Choose coordinating fabric colors.
_Hot glue the rosettes onto the wreath.
_Lastly cut a long piece of yarn to hang your wreath on the door. Hand & enjoy!

Jewelry box refurbishing update
We had another BEAUTIFUL day yesterday, so I took advantage and finished painting my jewelry box! The only thing I realized I forgot, after it was all said and done, was I didn't paint under the lid where the mirror is. . .oh well, no one sees that part :) Now all I need are knobs!!
I'm really having a hard time trying to find knobs to go with this. I've look at Anthropologie, Lowes & Hobby Lobby...but I did find some similar to these that I like, but the screw part is too long:

Tuesday's Trash to Treasure: ABC Book
ABC Book Tutorial
Reuse: Notebook
Materials:
*Notebook
*Paper, scissors, glue, tape etc
I got this idea from a parenting magazine. I changed it a bit, they were doing the book as a thankful book, kids got to draw what they were thankful for, for each letter of the alphabet. I decided to just make it an ABC book. Each letter of the alphabet will have its own set of pages where we/she can draw something that starts with that letter & so on.

Beauty 2012
This one is long & just goes through the process of getting ready, but I really love the blonde hair girls makeup!!!
Something I just saw (from the second video), are Profile Facial Shields! I've never seen these before!! Makes total sense though, so the person getting their hair done won't get a face full of hairspray!
Makeup Trends 2012
Beauty Trend 2012: METALLICS
Winter/Spring
As seen on the fashion runways almost all over, metallic eye shadows are the in thing for this winter/spring. Some designers chose HEAVY metallic, while others went for a SHIMMER metallic. For everyday day wear, I'd suggest keeping the metallic to a nice soft shimmery shade. If you want to do a more dramatic look, keep it for evenings or dates.
As seen in Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Rodarte, John Galliano & more...
Beauty Trend 2012: Pretty Perfect
Spring/Summer
This trend seems to be my friend recently :) I LOVE the more simple natural look! The idea behind it is to look natural & youthful. Curled lashes, candy-coloured lips and flushed cheeks - girlish prettiness is in for spring*
*Vogue citing
As seen in Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci, Valentino, Jil Sanders & more...
