Bird Feeder Tutorial
Reuse: Plastic BottleMaterials:
*Plastic bottle
*Bird Feed
*Yarn
*Sticks or wooden spoons
*Razor blade
_Clean out bottle, take wrapper off & let dry.
_Using your razor blade, cut two small triagular holes (across from each other) near the bottom of the bottle. Cut two more holes closer to the top of the bottle. You want them to be just large enough to fit your branch/spoon through.
_Push your branches/spoon through the holes & get your funnel ready to pour in the bird seed. I do not have a funnel, so I made a hole in the bottom of a styrofoam cup and used that as my funnel. :)
_Fill the bottle with bird seed (some seed will fall through the holes at first, but not much - I recommend doing this step outside.
_Once the bottle is full of bird seed, tie yarn or a small twine of some sort around the top of the bottle. Make sure you double knot it and even do a couple of lines to make sure it'll hold (especially if you're using a 2 liter bottle).
_Replace the lid and hang on your tree!
*You can paint or decorate the outside of the bottle too!*
